LiDestri Food & Drink – A growing company needs faster reporting
LiDestri Food and Drink is a family-run company based in Rochester, NY employing more than 1,000 people at five U.S. locations. They have grown from their roots as a pasta sauce and salsa manufacturer to become an innovation-driven food and beverage production company, formulating and producing food, beverage and spirits under their own labels and those of national partners.
Lidestri has been an Oracle EBS user since 2013 and they make extensive use of the supply chain and manufacturing modules.

LiDestri had reached a point where they felt that their existing Oracle EBS reporting tools – BI/XML Publisher, Discoverer, and the Oracle Standard reports – had become a source of frustration and a bottleneck for all users. The Results
LiDestri automatically migrated many of their Oracle Discoverer and XML Publisher reports to Blitz Report™. They also moved existing support and analysis SQL scripts from development tools into Blitz Report, making the transition to Blitz Report fast and easy.
LiDestri has significantly reduced their report creation cycle time. Their experience has shown that with Blitz Report they can develop and deliver reports 10x faster than previously possible, allowing them to get information to decision-makers faster and improving the end-user experience.
The Database Health and Tuning Toolkit, part of the Blitz Report library, has been very helpful to LiDestri’s DBA team. Reports such as the Concurrent Requests audit report have highlighted performance problems and allowed LiDestri to improve both EBS operations and database performance.
End users and the IT team have quickly adapted to Blitz Report because of its seamless integration with Oracle EBS. LiDestri’s plans to use the Forms assignment feature to add context-specific reports to Oracle standard EBS forms. This will allow users to run reports directly from the assigned form, without leaving their workflow – providing answers faster and improving their productivity.
